Cayenne Asset Management, incorporated in 2004 to manage Apollo Fund plc, is an independent, specialist fund manager, entirely owned by Len Gayler and his family. Its key employees all have substantial investments in The Cayenne Trust.
Principal members of the Cayenne team have been responsible for management of Apollo Fund since inception in 1997. Also manages a segregated account focusing on distressed assets.
Cayenne's long standing team specialises in exploiting the pricing inefficiencies of the closed-end fund market.
The management team is highly experienced having been involved in the investment trust industry for 75 years in aggregate.
Len Gayler, Chief Executive, has over 40 years' experience of trading in international markets and has been investing in closed-end funds since 1985
James Hart, Fund Manager, has nearly 20 years' experience specialising in the closed-end fund sector and has been managing portfolios since 2000
John Tappenden, Fund Manager, has over 25 years' investment experience, including time spent at Kleinwort Benson and UBS
Robin Willis, Junior Fund Manager & Analyst, has 4 years' investment experience and holds Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and is a CFA Level II candidate.
